Job summary

AdventHealth Ocala is seeking a part-time EKG technician to support the cardiac services team. The role requires accurate EKG performance, strong customer service, and collaboration with physicians and staff to ensure quality patient care.

You will perform EKG testing, document results, and maintain equipment while supporting ongoing training and department improvements. This position is on-site in Ocala, FL.

Qualifications

• Customer service excellence required.

• Ability to work independently in a clinical setting.
• Reading, writing and basic math skills required.
• Effective communication with diverse staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with team to ensure smooth operations.
• Checks practitioner orders for accuracy with offices, floors, or physicians as needed.
• Provides excellent customer service and ensures effective communication among caregivers.
• Performs EKGs accurately and efficiently.
• Maintains all equipment in proper working order.
• Completes delegated daily, weekly, and monthly tasks promptly.
• Interacts with patients and staff professionally.
• Ensures timely and accurate documentation of tasks and procedures.
• Assists with patient care activities as needed.
• Supports quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Work Experience:

• 1+ years RCS experience with within relative field [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) [Preferred]
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$16.30 - $26.08
