Job summary

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is seeking an EKG Technician PRN to perform standard EKG, EEG, Holter monitoring, stress testing and non-invasive vascular procedures. You will maintain department and patient records and provide direct patient care to patients of all ages.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 16-hour EKG course within 90 days, 1 year of experience preferred, and BLS certification. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a 16-hour EKG course within 90 days of employment.
• 1 year of experience preferred, hospital setting favored.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard EKG, EEG, Holter Monitor, stress testing and non-invasive vascular procedures.
• Maintain department and patient records and provide direct patient care to patients of all ages.
• Interpret rhythms and arrhythmias and report changes to nursing staff.
• Orient and mentor new staff members.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Our cardiovascular services team is composed of caring individuals committed to providing the highest quality care. Join us as we add an EKG Technician to the team. Our EKG (or Stress Test) Tech will perform standard EKG, EEG, Holter Monitor, stress testing and non-invasive vascular procedures. You will maintain department and patient records andprovide directpatientcaretopatientsofallages.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Interprets Rhythms and Arrhythmias.
• Reports all changes in heart rate/rhythm to appropriate nursing staff.
• Maintains Telemetry supplies and equipment.
• Records patient condition utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Performs duties with full understanding ofrelated age specific factors.
• Orients and mentors new staff members.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications:

• High school or GED
• Successful completion of 16 hour EKG course within 90 days of employment
• 1 year of experience required, hospital setting preferred
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• Must be able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds
