Job summary

MedElite is seeking an EKG Technician in New York to perform electrocardiograms and related cardiac tests in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. You’ll work closely with clinical teams to support early detection of cardiovascular conditions in a geriatric population.

This full-time role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, with travel to partner facilities as assigned, and collaboration with physicians and nursing staff to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an EKG Technician training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs, rhythm strips, and other non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort
• Properly place electrodes and operate EKG equipment according to established protocols
• Monitor patients during testing and report abnormal findings to the supervising clinician
• Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and timely submission of test results
• Maintain and clean equipment in compliance with safety and infection control standards
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff
• Travel to skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned

Education

Job Summary
