White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, MD, seeks an experienced EKG Tech to perform EKG tracings, assist with pre/post procedures, and administer Holter tests. You will explain procedures to patients and ensure a calm, accurate testing environment.

This non-exempt, part-time role offers weekend shifts, with 16 hours per week, and a salary range aligned to current market norms. You will support physicians by logging data and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Qualificações

• American Heart Association CPR certification (BLS) required.

As a EKG Tech you will:

• Takes EKG tracings as ordered by the physician
• Assists patient pre and post procedure
• Administers Holter tests, which monitor patient heart activity for 24 hours
• Explains the function and process of EKG exams to patients prior to the test
• Ensures that all patients are calm and relaxed during the process
• Attaches EKG electrodes to patients in order to monitor heart activity and removes them after tests are completed
• Notes specific images and places on the test results for physicians to review closely
• Logs and reviews test data

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 3 years' working experience preferred
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification (BLS)

Work Schedule:

• Employment Type: Variable Part-time
• Hours per Week: 16 hrs/week 8 hour shifts
• Shift Type: Weekend
• Weekend Requirements: Only on Weekends
• Holiday Requirements: Follow company holiday calendar
• Shift Differential Eligible: Yes

Pay Range:

• $18.80 - $24.18 If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
