The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an EKG Technician to perform electrocardiograms and support physicians in diagnosing heart conditions. You will operate EKG equipment, prepare patients for procedures, and ensure accurate recording and interpretation of cardiac data.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an EKG training program or documented on-the-job EKG training, and at least one year of direct patient care experience.
The EKG technician assumes responsibility and accountability for performing electrocardiograms on customers ranging in age from infant to the aged. The EKG technician is responsible for processing EKGs performed by the Cardiovascular Laboratory and other departments in the hospital. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within.

High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a recognized EKG training program or documented on-the-job EKG training and at least one year of directly related patient care experience in a health care setting. Experience in Holter Monitor scanning and Stress Treadmill procedures preferred.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
