Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL seeks an EKG/Stress Technician for our Diagnostic Cardiology Unit at Baptist South. This part-time, day-shift position focuses on accurate EKGs, stress testing preparation, and patient monitoring.

You will work closely with physicians and the cardiology team, maintain logs, and ensure safety and infection control. Required: High School Diploma, BLS, and 1–2 years EKG experience; AS degree preferred and Holter experience welcomed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate of Science preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• 1-2 years experience performing EKG.
• Experience performing Holter application.

Responsabilités

• Place leads and perform EKGs with accuracy for clear tracings.
• Maintain detailed work logs and send orders to reading physicians promptly.
• Prepare patients for stress testing and provide clear instructions.
• Place monitors and obtain vital signs, report abnormal findings immediately.
• Provide clinical support and compassionate care during stress testing.
• Collaborate with cardiology team to ensure quality patient care.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and keep a clean work area.

Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add an EKG/Stress Technician in our Diagnostic Cardiology Unit at Baptist South in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a Part-Time, Day shift opportunity.

As an EKG/Stress Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Properly placing leads and performing EKGs with accuracy, ensuring clear tracings and high-quality results for physician interpretation.
• Maintaining detailed and organized work logs, while efficiently sending orders and completed studies to reading physicians in a timely manner.
• Preparing patients for stress testing (regular, nuclear, and echo) by properly prepping skin, ensuring patient comfort, and providing clear instructions to ease anxiety.
• Placing monitors and obtaining vital signs, while observing patient status and reporting any abnormal findings immediately to supervising clinicians.
• Providing assistance and reassurance to patients undergoing stress testing, offering both clinical support and compassionate care to enhance the overall patient experience.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other members of the cardiology team to support seamless patient care and uphold departmental standards.
• Adhering to safety protocols, infection control policies, and maintaining a clean, well-organized work environment to promote efficiency and patient safety.

Experience; 1-2 years Experience performing EKG Experience performing Holter application

Education & Credential Requirements; High School Diploma Required Associates of Science Preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
