The Ashtabula Regional Medical Center is seeking an EKG/Neurology Technician to perform electrocardiography studies across neonatal to adult patients. You will support healthcare teams by maintaining clear communication with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments.
In addition to performing EKGs, the role involves participating in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement activities and collaborating in interdisciplinary teams as needed.
The EKG/Neurology Tech performs electrocardiography studies on all patient populations served (neonate to mature adult). Provides coverage to other Eastern Region entities as needed. Maintains communication between physicians, nursing, and other departments as part of the healthcare delivery team. Serves in interdisciplinary teams as needed. Participates in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement activities.
All employees are required to know and demonstrate competency in all OSHA requirements for the position, such as use of personal protective equipment, safety equipment, and procedures, and handling of hazardous materials, etc. Must be able to walk or stand almost continuously during shift, lift and position patients for testing, and push wheeled equipment through carpeted hallways. All employees are required to be aware of all MSDS considerations for this position, which identifies all items in their particular area, as well as the location of the MSDS manual. All employees will be educated regarding Bloodbourne Pathogen Exposure Category II-Employees whose routine and/or daily duties, tasks, or procedures occasionally expose them to blood and other potentially infectious materials.
