Pape-Dawson Engineers seeks an Engineer-in-Training III (EIT III) for its Franklin, TN or Nashville, TN offices. The role supports licensed civil engineers, landscape architects, and surveyors in delivering land development projects for public and private clients.

The candidate applies engineering principles to infrastructure design for site and development projects. Responsibilities include plan development, design analysis, and coordination with authorities.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree required.
• Engineerin-Training (EIT/EI) certification or ability to achieve by reciprocity.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office Suite.
• Familiarity with land development engineering practices and permitting processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the development of project plans, specifications, and cost estimates for land development projects.
• Analyze and compare feasible design alternatives based on grading, drainage, alignments, and site constraints.
• Identify and evaluate major design features and alternatives to meet project goals and regulatory requirements.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create construction documents and design layouts.
• Prepare technical reports, engineering studies, and documentation per company standards.
• Direct and review the work of engineering technicians and junior staff for accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and agencies to support permitting and coordination.
