Job summary

The role requires environmental data expertise and strong data governance skills. The position offers telework/flexible scheduling with occasional in-person meetings, and the HQ is in Lacey, WA.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience or education related to Environmental Data management and schema design.
• Experience designing and refining environmental data schemas to support standardized data storage.
• Experience evaluating metadata and reference tables to maintain data integrity.
• Ability to perform complex database queries and diagnostics to support system improvements.
• Experience coordinating with partners to resolve technical issues and ensure data quality.
• Experience creating technical documentation and user guidance for data systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert and point person for environmental data management.
• Manage system metadata in 60+ EIM reference tables as needed.
• Lead technical documentation efforts across multiple system applications.
• Lead customer service efforts including handling technical questions.
• Lead research and identification of valid values for new data collection methods.
• Define data requirements for system upgrades or new functions.
