Qualifications

• Job related experience in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of EHSS work experience in manufacturing/construction environments.
• Experience with EPA, OSHA, and DHS regulations.
• Ability to identify safety improvements in operational processes.
• Good written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with company software and MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and use respirator and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and coordination of site environmental, health, safety, and security regulatory requirements.
• Ensure site compliance with EPA, OSHA, and DHS rules, regulations, and training.
• Support a positive safety culture and coach peers to identify hazards and solutions.
• Aid in gathering data and completing EHSS regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate, schedule, and conduct EHSS training (new hire onboarding, annual training).
• Track EHSS training and conduct makeup sessions for delinquent employees.
• Conduct EHS audits of plant departments to identify unsafe conditions and hazards.
• Perform weekly inspections of safety equipment, waste areas, and facilities.
• Review Life Critical Permits and provide coaching on deficiencies.
• Flexible with hours to support off shifts; perform other duties as assigned.
