Job summary

Wolfspeed in North Carolina seeks an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Technician to support EHS programs at the Durham facilities. The role emphasizes waste handling, regulatory compliance, and timely data entry to keep operations inspection-ready each day.

You will use SAP for procurement and invoicing related to waste disposal, perform IH and safety observations, and assist in JHAs while working outdoors for most shifts.

Qualifications

  • 3 years hazardous materials or waste experience at LQG/TSDF or in Field Services.
  • Must be able to drag, lift and maneuver 50lbs; forklift certification preferred.
  • Valid US driver’s license.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Must be willing to work outside for majority of shift.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain waste cages and tanks in full compliance with applicable regulations to be inspection ready every day.
  • Enter shipment information to spreadsheets/databases in a timely manner.
  • Utilize SAP to generate purchase requisitions and reconcile invoices related to waste disposal and site activities.
  • Assist Environmental Manager/Engineers in identifying waste streams and outbound profiles.
  • Perform sampling or observations related to Industrial Hygiene and Safety programs and assist in JHAs.
  • Safely conduct all activities according to procedures and prescribed PPE.
