Job summary

BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) is seeking an EHS Technician for the Cayey campus to coordinate daily Environmental, Health and Safety activities, including inspections and regulatory compliance. You will perform tasks per SOPs and regulatory requirements, support EHS training, and help manage waste and spill response resources.

The role requires an associate degree and 2+ years in a regulated industry, with OSHA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree minimum with 2+ years in regulated industry.
• Experience handling hazardous/biohazardous materials and supporting safety programs.
• OSHA certification and/or other relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist EHS team to ensure Cayey campus complies with applicable Environmental, Health and Safety regulations and policies.
• Conduct routine safety, environmental, and compliance inspections.
• Support EHS training programs and awareness campaigns for employees and contractors.
• Track inventory and monitor spill kits and emergency equipment.
• Maintain cleaning and organization of hazardous, flammable, and biohazardous areas.
• Coordinate disposal or recycling of universal waste, biohazardous, and hazardous waste.
• Prepare and track environmental, health, and safety regulatory reports and permits.
