Job summary

Abzena Inc. is seeking an EHS Technician to support occupational health, safety, facilities, and operations teams. The role involves exposure monitoring, permit-to-work issuance, and area inspections to maintain a safe and compliant site.

This contract-based position is expected to convert to a permanent role, with travel between Abzena sites as needed. Candidates should have a high school diploma and be prepared to pursue EHS certifications.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma.
• 0-3 years of experience in EHS functions.
• Willingness to pursue EHS certifications and training.
• Base knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DEP regulations or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace exposure assessments for chemical, physical, ergonomic, noise, and heat hazards.
• Support occupational health programs including medical surveillance and safety training.
• Perform area inspections and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Issue permits to work for High-Risk Work activities such as LOTO and Hot Work.
• Assist in incident investigations and root cause analysis using corrective actions.
• Support audits, inspections, investigations, and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Assist chemical waste operations and maintain EHS documentation.
