Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Lexington, Virginia, is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Technician to work with EHS and Plant Leadership to ensure workplace safety and environmental compliance at the Lexington plant.

You will conduct audits, identify hazards, collect and analyze safety data for monthly reporting, and assist in the development and delivery of EHS training programs while maintaining records of incidents and regulatory filings.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in occupational safety/ health or equivalent combination of training and/or experience.
• Previous manufacturing safety experience required.
• Understanding of chemical safety, EH&S regulations, and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits in line with established EHS standards and regulations.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Collect & analyze environmental and safety data for monthly reporting.
• Assist in the development and implementation of EHS training programs.
• Assist in injury and incident investigations.
• Maintain records of all EHS related incidents and present statistical analysis to management.
• Ensure compliance to all applicable governmental regulations and internal EH&S policies.
• Promote 5S principles throughout the facility and coordinates for compliance.
