Job summary

JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, is seeking an EHS&S and Facilities Specialist to lead regional safety, sustainability, and facilities programs on-site in Ogden, UT. You will develop and implement safety programs, audits, and training aligned with corporate standards and local regulations, while driving 2030 carbon neutrality and zero waste goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in environmental health, facilities management, or safety.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S preferred.
• CFM, CSP, or sustainability experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional efforts to foster a proactive safety culture across manufacturing and office environments.
• Independently manage EHS, Sustainability, and Facilities initiatives with regional and Global teams.
• Implement and improve safety programs aligned with standards and local regulations.
• Serve as regional subject matter expert for environmental, health, and safety compliance.
• Drive employee engagement through safety training and awareness campaigns.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Champion energy efficiency and emissions reduction projects aimed at carbon neutrality by 2030.
• Oversee waste reduction and recycling programs toward zero waste to landfill by 2030.
• Oversee maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient facility operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into operations.
• Monitor KPIs for EHS, sustainability, and facilities; report findings.
• Support emergency preparedness and response planning; coordinate with vendors/contractors.
• Identify innovative solutions to reduce environmental impact and improve efficiency.
• Act as change agent aligning behavior with sustainability goals.
• Leverage Microsoft tools for reporting and project management.
