Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Supervisor I in National City, CA. The role reports to the Sr.

Manager, QA & EHS and oversees EHS compliance for the Ship Repair Sector Pacific, with responsibilities for training records and procedure development. You will supervise EHS staff, coordinate inspections, manage OSHA logs, and ensure NAVSEA standards are met while working with customers to resolve EHS-related matters and strengthen

Qualifications

• 8-10 years waterfront EHS supervision/coordinator experience on NAVSEA contracts.
• Knowledge of OSHA Regulations for Shipyard Employment, NAVSEA Standards, JFMM, NAVSHIPS tech manuals and related specs.
• Ability to read, write, speak and clearly communicate in English.
• Knowledgeable in shipyard, maritime, and commercial work practices, EHS, metal-work and contracting methods.

Responsibilities

• Provides management oversight, and career development of production trades related to EHS requirements.
• Supervises safety inspections and assessments where requirements cannot be met by trade safety representatives.
• Supervises the Injury/Illness reporting and maintenance of the internal log of injury/illness reporting.
• Works with Human Resources with workers compensation claims, Supervises the OSHA 300 Log and reporting requirements.
• Supervises the inspection and monitoring of work performed on government and commercial work items, specializing in Hull, Mechanical and Electrical Inspections for EHS compliance.
• Supervises the reviews of work packages prior to start-work for completeness, accuracy and compliance with technical specifications and customer requirements related to environmental, health and safety requirements.
