Job summary

Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. in National City, CA seeks an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Supervisor I to provide comprehensive EHS oversight for the Ship Repair Sector Pacific in National City and potentially support SRS Hawaii.

The role supervises EHS training, maintains training records, and helps update EHS procedures and training materials. Responsibilities include coordinating safety inspections, incident reporting, and ensuring compliance with NAVSEA standards and OSHA

Qualifications

• 8-10 years waterfront EHS supervision/coordinator experience on NAVSEA contracts.
• Knowledge of NAVSEA Standards for shipboard work and OSHA regulations relevant to maritime environments.
• Ability to read, write, speak and clearly communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Provides management oversight, and career development of production trades related to EHS requirements.
• Supervises Project Safety inspections and assessments where requirements cannot be met by trade safety representatives.
• Supervises the Injury/Illness reporting and maintenance of the internal log of injury/illness reporting.
• Works with Human Resources on workers compensation claims and OSHA 300 Log reporting.
• Supervises inspection and monitoring of work for EHS compliance on hull, mechanical and electrical items.
• Reviews EHS control requirements with customers to assure compliance.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in a related field with waterfront EHS supervision experience

Associate’s degree alternative with 5-7 years waterfront EHS experience
