Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. in Warrendale, PA, is seeking a Safety and Environmental Manager to lead SWGD’s EHS programs.

You will develop safety and environmental targets, drive compliance, audits, risk assessments, and environmental permitting while aligning with corporate policies. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a relevant field and 8–10 years of manufacturing EHS experience, with supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8–10 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory and/or project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage SWGD safety and environmental targets, objectives, and programs; monitor progress against goals.
• Lead internal EHS audits and drive corrective actions; verify effectiveness.
• Conduct safety risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
• Manage environmental permitting, reporting, inspections, and permit renewals/modifications.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with MELCO and other applicable regulations.
• Monitor changes in EHS regulations and implement required changes.
• Lead SWGD Safety Committee meetings and promote engagement.
• Oversee incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Support EHS training, orientation, and emergency drills.
• Prepare monthly safety and environmental performance reports for leadership.
• Coach and develop team members; foster cross-training and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to advance SWGD excellence.
