Job summary

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. in Greenville, NC is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist I or II to drive safety, compliance, and training across the facility. You will coordinate workers' compensation, OSHA reporting, incident investigations, and ISO 14001/45001 programs, balancing safety, quality, and efficiency.

The right candidate has a B.S. in a related field and 1–3 years (I) or 4–7 years (II) of EHS experience, with strong communication and analytical skills,

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Sciences, and/or Environmental Engineering.
• 1-3 years EHS experience (I) or 4-7 years (II); or 4-6 years (I) or 8-12 years (II) in lieu of degree.
• Knowledge of Federal and State EHS regulations including OSHA, RCRA, EPCRA, TSCA, NPDES, CAA, PSM/RMP, SPPP/SPCC, DOT, EPA.
• Strong communication, analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage workers' compensation case management and post-accident investigations, serving as company representative in court.
• Maintain facility compliance postings, documentation, reporting, and procedures.
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver EHS training in line with OSHA standards and ISO requirements.
• Administer ISO 14001 & ISO 45001, EHS processes, and related programs.
