Job summary

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist I or II based at our Greenville, NC location.

This role focuses on workers’ compensation, training, and EHS program administration to improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a BS in a related field and 1–3 years (I) or 4–7 years (II) of EHS experience, with knowledge of OSHA, ISO standards, and safety management systems.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in a related discipline; 1–3 years EHS experience preferred.
• Broad EHS knowledge with regulatory experience (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
• Experience developing and delivering training programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage workers' compensation case management and post-accident investigations.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs and maintain training records.
• Coordinate ISO 14001 & ISO 45001, BBS, SMS, EMS processes.
• Lead Emergency Response Teams and respond to emergencies.
• Conduct facility safety audits and hazard assessments; ensure PPE compliance.
