Job summary

HP Hood is seeking a Broad-spectrum Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Professional to provide on-the-floor support to operations staff under the Senior EHS Manager. This high-visibility role emphasizes Health & Safety with strong collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities include implementing EHS programs, conducting safety training, and guiding incident investigations, while coordinating with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance and safety excellence.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field; 3–5 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations for EHS.

Responsibilities

• Implement EHS programs and policies aligned with federal and state requirements.
• Design and deliver safety orientation and refresher training; perform hazard analyses.
• Administer programs: hearing conservation, hazard communication, industrial hygiene, contractor safety compliance.
• Provide guidance to facility managers on incident reporting/investigation to meet company standards.
• Drive the annual Safety Improvement Plan with department leadership.
• Support workers’ compensation processes; liaise with insurers and medical professionals.
• Facilitate plant Safety Committee and Task Teams; promote safety culture with documentation and visuals.
• Manage environmental regulatory programs (air, stormwater, wastewater, hazardous materials, waste).
• Interface with regulators to ensure compliant environmental aspects and permits.
