Job summary

HP Hood is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager I to lead safety programs at a plant and partner with site leadership to strengthen safety culture.

You will ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA requirements, manage EHS programs, track metrics, deliver training, and mentor other EHS professionals, while supporting continuous improvement and incident prevention at our Sacramento-area facility.

Qualifications

• Requires BA/BS in science, engineering, or related field.
• 5–10+ years of related EHS experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Credentials such as CSP/OHST/CIH/CHMM are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand local/regional regulations and company policies.
• Measure safety performance against site KPIs and drive improvements.
• Maintain EHS records, reporting, and data integrity for site safety.
• Administer EHS programs per OSHA, EPA and DOT requirements.
• Lead training programs and support incident investigation and root cause analysis.
