Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated is seeking an EHS Specialist to oversee day-to-day environmental health and safety activities in alignment with the site plan. The role coordinates safety and environmental compliance, training, inspections, and recordkeeping for continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will lead safety meetings, manage incident documentation, and support regulatory reporting across environmental and safety programs in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Computer knowledge: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; and EHS software like Gensuite.
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Team-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly facility safety committee meetings.
• Help complete incident investigations.
• Handle documentation related to injuries including near misses, first aid, and investigations.
• Support environmental compliance through disposal, waste records, wastewater reports, storm water, air quality reporting and fire department plans.
• Maintain environmental spreadsheets for VOC and paint usage for reporting.
• Assist with tracking EHS metrics and data quality.
