Job summary

Veolia seeks an EHS Specialist to implement and manage Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and OSHA programs across Cary, Leonia, Bellevue, and Richmond facilities under the EHS Senior Manager for EPP and T&P. The role focuses on creating a healthy, accident-free workplace through hazard recognition, evaluation, and control.

You will lead investigations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive safety training with a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hazard recognition, evaluation, and control.
• Experience implementing OSHA and environmental health policies.
• Strong communication and collaboration with management and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate EHS laws and guidelines.
• Analyze data and audit processes in ergonomics, emergency preparedness, and other management standards.
• Support and improve EHS programs to reduce hazards and risks.
• Assist in leading EHS projects and required reports.
• Lead or support incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Conduct safety inspections at facilities.
• Provide technical guidance and participate in EHS meetings and regulatory interpretations.
• Promote sustainability initiatives and reporting.
