Job summary

Day & Zimmermann Company seeks an Environmental Health, and Safety Specialist to manage EHS programs at the Milan Army Ammunition Plant. Responsibilities include inspections, reporting, and program development to ensure regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local levels.

You will coordinate health and safety programs, prepare environmental reports, and collaborate with regulators and site leadership to promote a safe working environment and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Occupational/Industrial Safety & Health.
• 3+ years of relevant safety experience.
• Training/experience in environmental programs preferred.
• Explosive safety or environmental compliance experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Background screening is mandatory for all candidates.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate phases of Health and Safety programs in plant operations.
• Perform facility inspections to ensure permit and environmental compliance.
• Prepare regulatory/environmental reports and permit applications as needed.
• Develop and implement detailed Process Safety Management Plans.
• Interface with government regulators and site leadership to promote safety.
