Job summary

The Boring Company seeks an EHS professional to oversee environmental health and safety at our mining site. You will perform site safety walks, hazard assessments, and coordinate SOP development and training to foster a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities include incident documentation, SDS management, PPE coordination, and data entry into EHS databases, with a focus on compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• 3+ years of work experience in mining, construction, manufacturing, or environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong presence with stakeholders and site staff to foster a safety culture.
• Perform Site Safety Walks and Job Hazard Assessments; develop and review SOPs.
• Support EHS in toolbox talks; coordinate PPE, first aid kits, eyewash stations and spill kits.
• Develop and install safety signage (evacuation maps, one-pagers).
• Support Lockout/Tagout programs with labeling and training verification.
• Deliver basic training and EHS information; conduct daily/weekly safety walks and document data in EHS systems.
• Address and document safety concerns at the mining site; organize safety documentation.
• Collect environmental data (water/soil) to support compliance programs.
• Ensure documentation for incident reports and incident reviews is complete.
• Review and upload Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) to the electronic library.
