Job summary

AirX Climate Solutions is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join the AboveAir Technologies team in Frederick, MD. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and monitoring workplace safety programs to prevent injuries and ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will perform onsite inspections, lead incident investigations, and coordinate safety training across shifts, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement for both manufacturer and warehouse

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field.
• GSP, ASP, CSP certifications preferred.
• Deep understanding of OSHA, EPA, and NFPA regulations.
• Strong communication, influencing, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility inspections and safety audits.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926 standards.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training modules for employees.
• Oversee waste disposal, water discharge, and air emissions controls.
• Monitor exposure to hearing loss, chemical, and physical hazards.
• Maintain OSHA 300 logs and safety metrics.
