Job summary

SPX Technologies in Springfield, Missouri is seeking an EHS Coordinator to help sustain regulatory compliance and drive on-site safety programs, including OSHA and EPA requirements, across manufacturing operations.

You will conduct routine safety inspections, assist in incident investigations, maintain SDS databases and chemical inventories, and support waste management and 5S initiatives to protect employees and assets.

Responsibilities

• Compliance with Health & Safety Regulations
• Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local environmental health and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
• Support implementation and administration of site-specific EHS policies and procedures
• Maintain safety records, documentation, permits, and compliance files
• Assist in managing SDS database and chemical inventory
• Support waste management processes, including proper handling and storage of solid, universal, and hazardous waste
• 2. Floor Presence, Inspections & Risk Identification
• Conduct routine safety inspections and audits of production areas
• Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and communicate findings to supervisors
• Track corrective actions to ensure timely closure
• Assist in Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments
• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement events from a safety perspective
• Assist with investigation of workplace injuries, near misses, and property damage incidents
• Gather facts, conduct interviews, and document findings
