Job summary

Corning is seeking an EHS Specialist to drive the site EHS strategy and manage Gensuite modules. You will coach teams, coordinate environmental compliance efforts, and lead safety initiatives across operations, engineering and maintenance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1–3 years of EHS experience, with OSHA knowledge and strong communication skills. Occasional after-hours support may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent EHS experience.
• 1–3 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or similarly regulated environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
• Strong systems administration, data quality, documentation, organization, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to translate EHS requirements into practical actions for teams.
• Effective facilitation, coaching, training, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in office and manufacturing environments and wear PPE.
• Occasional off-shift or after-hours availability for incidents or audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration of EHS Gensuite modules (user access, configuration, workflows, dashboards, tracking).
• Train end users, create job aids, provide EHS metrics and trend reporting to leadership.
• Coordinate implementation and sustainment of the GSS framework and EHS system requirements.
• Coordinate self-assessments, audits, and corrective-action follow-ups based on risk.
• Support annual site EHS strategy, objectives, and leading-indicator activities.
• Assist with risk assessments, incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and training.
• Support environmental compliance programs for waste, air, stormwater, and spill prevention.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready EHS records.
• Lead site safety team activities and communications.
