Job summary

Cerro Wire LLC in Hartselle, AL is seeking an EHS Specialist III to support daily environmental, health, and safety activities at the Hartselle and MC Cable facilities. You will work with plant leadership to implement EHS programs, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct inspections, investigations, and employee training.

The role emphasizes hands-on safety on the production floor, incident investigations, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in an EHS-related field preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to communicate with production teams, supervisors and leadership.
• Willingness to learn applicable EHS regulations and company policies.
• 3–5 years hands-on EHS experience with inspections, risk assessment, and training preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 General Industry training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary day-to-day EHS point of contact for Hartselle and MC Cable facilities.
• Maintain visible plant-floor presence and engage with team members on safety.
• Identify hazards and communicate improvement opportunities.
• Assist in incident investigations and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate and deliver EHS training, including new-hire safety orientation.
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of EHS programs and compliance.
• Support safety committee activities and employee engagement.
• Maintain EHS records and assist audits and inspections.
