Job summary

Autonomous Solutions, Inc. (ASI) is seeking an EHS Specialist II to provide strong field presence and operational support across shop, test track, and facility operations. You will have increased autonomy, broader permit authority, and deeper technical competency than level I.

You will lead investigations for moderate incidents, author JHA and ORA for routine tasks, drive corrective actions to closure, mentor I level staff, and coordinate environmental basics and safety trainings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• 2–4 years of EHS experience in industrial or high-hazard environments.
• Solid working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and industry standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and EHS management systems.
• OSHA 30 certification (or willing to be trained).

Responsibilities

• Implement EHS programs and corrective actions as directed by leadership.
• Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and audits; develop hazard mitigation plans.
• Lead investigations of minor to moderate incidents and near-misses; perform root-cause analysis.
• Validate effectiveness of corrective actions and update procedures.
• Maintain EHS records, trend analysis, and compliance documentation.
• Deliver onboarding and toolbox topics and coordinate drills.
• Coordinate permits and authorizations within scope (hot work, Lockout/Tagout).
