Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience required. Experience in specialty chemicals, manufacturing, or related industry may be required depending on the role.
• Requires a bachelor's degree.
• Ability to perform defined tasks with a moderate degree of autonomy, applying expanded knowledge of processes, systems, and organizational context.
• Ability to resolve moderately complex day-to-day issues using experience and judgment; evaluates options within established guidelines and escalates unusual problems to supervisor/manager.
• Ability to follow standardized procedures and practices; works under general direction with some latitude for independent action.
• Ability to communicate information that may require explanation or interpretation, including explaining policies, practices, and moderately complex concepts to others.

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine safety inspections, audits, and workplace assessments to identify hazardous conditions, document findings, and support timely corrective action.
• Analyzes standard safety, environmental, and incident data to identify trends, compliance issues, and recurring risk factors within assigned areas.
• Evaluates work areas, equipment, materials, and planned activities for common hazards and recommends protective actions, controls, or equipment consistent with established requirements.
• Coordinates sampling, monitoring, and measurement activities related to workplace conditions and maintains accurate records of results, observations, and follow-up actions.
• Supports the implementation of safety policies, procedures, and training programs by preparing documentation, communicating requirements, and tracking completion of assigned activities.
• Investigates routine incidents, near misses, and employee safety concerns by gathering facts, identifying likely causes, and documenting recommended corrective actions.
• Monitors compliance with internal safety standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental procedures and escalates issues that require management attention.
• Assists with hazardous material handling, removal coordination, and related safety activities by following established protocols and ensuring appropriate documentation is maintained.
• Partners with operations, maintenance, and other internal stakeholders to address identified hazards, improve safe work practices, and support consistent execution of EHS requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
