Job summary

Neuralink is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist/Engineer to support and drive day-to-day Safety Team activities across two California sites, South San Francisco and Fremont, with ownership of multiple EHS programs. You will manage hazardous waste, stormwater, SPCC, and regulatory compliance, develop site-specific actions, and collaborate with engineers to keep processes safe and compliant.

The role offers base salary 63,000–130,000 USD plus equity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a health and safety role.
• 3+ years handling hazardous materials (acids, bases, solvents).
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate EHS programs across two sites (SSF and Fremont) and adapt priorities per location.
• Support regulatory compliance, maintain permits and registrations, and coordinate inspections and audits.
• Manage hazardous waste lifecycle from identification to disposal.
• Administer stormwater, wastewater, SPCC, and soil management programs and prepare reports.
• Translate changing regulations into site-specific programs and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to ensure safe processes and review chemicals.
