Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company seeks an EHS professional to support and maintain site safety and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role partners with site management and compliance programs to safeguard personnel and assets.

Responsibilities include leading EHS training, incident tracking, risk controls, and promoting a proactive safety culture. Travel about 10% and flexibility to support CTS Driver safety events may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of work experience in manufacturing, distribution, operations or have completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program in an Operations function.
• Associate degree or higher in environmental, health and safety or related field preferred.
• Formal training or at least 1 year experience applying continuous improvement tools (Six Sigma, 5S, Lean).
• Experience managing industrial safety standards including respirator and lifting safety.
• Experience in occupational environmental health and safety field or Sherwin-Williams EHS program development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and initiate programs to reduce injuries, illnesses, and property losses.
• Integrate risk/loss controls into daily operations.
• Support employee-led safety committees.
• Maintain incident management systems and documentation, including change procedures and hazard tracking.
• Record and analyze incident data and recommend corrective actions.
• Support compliance with safety, health, and environmental laws and regulations.
• Plan, coordinate, and lead all site EHS training.
• Foster a positive safety culture with proactive shop-floor presence.

Job description

This position is accountable for supporting and maintaining the Environmental Health and Safety ("EHS") programs, activities, and control measures for the site, as well as coordinating these efforts with various compliance programs, to protect all personnel and physical assets. This position helps ensure compliance with all occupational health, safety, and environmental requirements under federal, state, and local law and regulations.

Additional Information:

Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Flexible scheduling to accommodate CTS Driver safety needs and concerns. Attending Quarterly Safety Meetings and CTS Driver events.

10% Travel

This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

• Record and analyze incident records and make recommendations regarding corrective action, emphasizing proactive intervention
• Support implementation of practical compliance with safety, health, and environmental laws and regulations
• Plan, coordinate, and lead all site EHS training
• Foster a positive safety culture through professional and proactive interactions with employees and maintaining a strong shop-floor presence

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Must have at least one (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing, distribution, operations function or have completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program in an Operations function

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must have an associate's degree or higher or two (2) years of work experience in environmental, health and safety
• Have completed formal training in and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.
• Have prior work experience managing industrial safety standards including respirator and lifting safety
• Have at least one (1) year of work experience in the occupational environmental health and safety field or have completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program in an environmental, health and safety function
• Have prior work experience using a safety management system
