The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist plays a critical role in supporting Group 1 Automotive's commitment to providing a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace across its dealership and collision center operations. Serving as a trusted field partner to Regional EHS Managers, this position supports the execution of environmental, health, and safety programs while promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
Working closely with dealership leadership and operational teams, the EHS Specialist provides hands‑on support for safety initiatives, employee training, incident management, regulatory compliance, audits, and recordkeeping. This role serves as a visible presence in the field, helping ensure consistent application of EHS programs, strengthening employee engagement, and identifying opportunities to continuously improve workplace safety.
The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who enjoys building relationships and supporting multiple locations in a fast‑paced retail environment. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and a passion for creating safe workplaces through education, collaboration, and operational excellence.
