Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support safety initiatives across its dealership operations. The role involves assisting Regional EHS Managers, maintaining records, and delivering safety training to ensure compliance.

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently while traveling regionally. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s is preferred. The salary range is $75,000-$85,000.

Qualifications

• 5+ years field experience in safety, training, compliance, or operations.
• Ability to build relationships with field leaders.
• Demonstrated independence in implementing EHS programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Regional EHS Managers with audits, training, and safety campaigns.
• Maintain OSHA logs, incident records, and training rosters.
• Enter and update safety data in reporting systems.
• Coordinate safety meetings and training sessions.
• Assist in the incident investigation process.
• Support EHS compliance initiatives and safety projects.
