Shultz Steel LLC is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist to support health, safety and environmental compliance at the South Gate, California facility.
You will implement programs, policies and assessments under the EHS Manager, interact with management and contractors, and help maintain the EHS platform (Gensuite). The role includes audits, training, incident investigations and regional initiatives support.
Performs Environmental, Health & Safety functions at the company plant, by performing the following duties.

They will interact with the Management Team, employees and contractors/ vendors, under the guidance of the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager. The EHS Specialist will be responsible for the implementation of programs, policies, and assessments to ensure their company is in compliance with all federal and internal health and safety rules. They may also review reports and findings to monitor performance and detect trends related to health and safety.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, OSHA/EPA regulations or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and Microsoft office proficient. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of vendors, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
