Job summary

CES/AWS is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support safety initiatives within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing facility. The role offers hands-on experience in a modern production environment and opportunities to grow in EHS career development.

The candidate will conduct safety inspections, participate in investigations, maintain records, and promote safe work practices. Strong communication and basic OSHA knowledge are preferred for this full-time position

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in safety, manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environments.
• Basic understanding of OSHA regulations preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily Environmental, Health & Safety operations throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and observations on the production floor.
• Identify workplace hazards and assist in implementing corrective and preventative actions.
• Participate in incident investigations, documentation, and root cause analysis.
• Maintain safety records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Promote safe work practices and reinforce company safety policies.
• Assist with new employee orientation and safety training programs.
• Monitor proper PPE usage and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Partner with production and leadership teams to foster a strong safety culture.
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support environmental compliance programs and regulatory requirements.

• Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  Must be available for weekends and off-shift support
