Responsibilities

Job Details

We are seeking a hands‑on Environmental Specialist to lead and drive our day‑to‑day environmental compliance programs. This is a "boots on the ground," plant‑floor role—you will spend the majority of your time out on the shop floor conducting walk‑throughs, working directly with front‑line operations, and ensuring strict adherence to environmental protocols rather than sitting behind a desk.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Environmental Stewardship & Field Execution: Champion a culture of environmental compliance and active stewardship. Spend significant time on the shop floor conducting regular environmental walk‑throughs, inspections, and audits.
• Air & Waste Compliance (Core Focus): Manage complex environmental regulatory and permit requirements, with a heavy emphasis on Title V Air Permits and RCRA hazardous waste management (preferably for a Large Quantity Generator).
• Water Management: Oversee stormwater and wastewater permitting, monitoring, and compliance activities.
• ISO Program Management: Lead facility engagement and continuous improvement for ISO 14001 environmental management standards.
• Reporting & Documentation: Manage all environmental record‑keeping, regulatory reporting, and compliance documentation.
• Incident Investigations & Corrective Actions: Lead environmental incident investigations, driving straight to root causes and implementing effective, long‑lasting corrective actions.
• Cross‑Functional Training & Collaboration: Lead compliance training sessions, collaborate closely with operations, and serve as an active partner to site leadership on environmental initiatives.
