Job summary

FITS LLC in Puerto Rico is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional to support manufacturing projects, ensuring compliance with regulators and company standards. You will coordinate safety programs, conduct risk assessments, deliver safety trainings, and partner with project leaders to improve metrics and incident investigations.

The role requires bilingual ability, a degree or equivalent experience, and hands-on governance across contractors, machine safety, JHA, toolbox

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years of experience in Industrial/Construction projects within the regulated industry.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English).
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Shift: First (Monday-Friday) & according to business needs.
  • 30hrs. OSHA Certification (General Industry or Construction)

Responsibilities

  • Provide program level governance support to a variety of Project leaders of management reviews, monitoring of manufacturing activities, developing and presenting performance metrics, developing and delivering safety presentations.
  • Proactively engage with Project Directors to forecast programmatic and project level safety risks and work with teams to address emerging risks.
  • Assure complies with the national statutory health and safety requirements.
  • Where practicable, implement best practice, and lessons learned, across each project.
  • Assure that all contractors are implementing our strategy and safe working practices on site.
  • Monitors leading and lagging indicators and escalates.
  • Support incident investigations.
  • Assist and monitor the development and completion of corrective actions.
  • Identify and implements safety initiatives.
