Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a Corporate EHS Specialist to design, implement, maintain, and evaluate environmental, health, and safety programs across the organization. This role analyzes complex EHS data, manages hazard reduction initiatives, revises EHS programs and procedures, and provides technical guidance to support regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of workplace safety performance.

Will travel up to 75% and may have company car/phone as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of industrial experience in safety, environmental management, industrial hygiene, or related EHS disciplines.
• Experience with EHS management systems, process mapping, database management, compliance programs, and risk management initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate EHS program data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Manage existing EHS programs and recommend enhancements to reduce workplace hazards and risk exposure.
• Design and implement hazard abatement, risk management, and corrective action initiatives.
• Develop, revise, and maintain EHS manuals, policies, and procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and partner with training and operational teams to improve EHS knowledge and compliance.

Summary of Position

Responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of environmental, health, and safety programs across the organization. This role analyzes complex EHS data, manages hazard reduction initiatives, develops corrective action plans, revises EHS programs and procedures, and provides technical guidance to support regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of workplace safety performance.

Key Responsibilities / Skills

Education and Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related technical field.

Experience: 10+ years of industrial experience in safety, environmental management, industrial hygiene, or related EHS disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EHS management systems, process mapping, database management, compliance programs, and risk management initiatives.

Physical Requirements

Medium work environment requiring frequent standing, walking, sitting, reading, speaking, hearing, and manual dexterity. Regular field visits with occasional climbing, reaching, bending, lifting, and outdoor exposure. Ability to meet the physical demands associated with industrial and utility worksites.

Licenses and Certifications

Valid driver's license required. Additional EHS-related certifications are preferred.

Work Environment

Combination of office and field environments with extensive travel to company locations and customer sites. Exposure to varying weather conditions, construction and utility work environments, and safety-sensitive operations. Must be able to travel up to 75% and work near major transportation hubs.
