Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health, safety, or related field required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in occupational health, safety, or related technical field preferred.
  • MS Office proficiency required; knowledge of Occupational Safety standards.
  • GSP certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in design, analysis, review, administration, and implementation of the company’s occupational health and safety programs.
  • Coordinate EHS improvement activities with other departments.
  • Identify hazards and determine corrective actions to improve health and safety in the workplace.
  • Perform incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement job safety analyses (JHA) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor waste streams and waste products to minimize waste generation.
  • Assist with industrial hygiene monitoring and assessments.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections for compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Oversee EHS training programs including content development, scheduling, delivery, and record management.
  • Support environmental and sustainability programs, permits, and reports such as ISO 14001 certification.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for providing Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) support in various topical areas at ClimateMaster and support CLC, IEC, and KOAX facilities. This position also designs and implements programs to help identify and prevent disease or injury in the workplace.

Essential Functions

  • Assists in the design, analysis, review, administration, and implementation of the Company’s occupational health and safety programs.
  • Coordinates EHS improvement activities with other departments.
  • Identify hazards and determine corrective actions to improve health and safety in the workplace.
  • Perform incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement job safety analysis (JHA) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various job tasks.
  • Monitor waste streams and waste products to ascertain ways to eliminate or minimize waste generation.
  • Assist with industrial hygiene monitoring and assessments.
  • Perform routine safety inspections that evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices for compliance with company and government health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Oversee EHS training programs through content development, scheduling, delivery, and record management.
  • Support environmental and sustainability programs, permits, and reports, such as an ISO 14001 certification, stormwater permit, waste programs, and chemical management, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Abilities

Education: Bachelor's degree in occupational health, safety, or related field.

Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in occupational health, safety, or related technical field.

Computer Skills: Skilled with MS Office suite.

Certificates & Licenses: GSP preferred

Other Requirements: Experience with Operational Excellence methodologies, detail-oriented and a high level of problem-solving skills.
