Siemens Energy is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist through the EHS Training Program to support field service operations for gas and steam turbines and generators across the US and Canada.
The role involves leading site safety programs, training development, and comprehensive safety reporting while traveling frequently to power plants and service centers in the US. The program lasts 12 months with extensive hands-on field experience.
As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist in the EHS Training Program, you will play a vital role in the success of our power plant service operations. In this role, you will be responsible for site safety and environmental programs in support of our field teams who perform maintenance and upgrades to some of the largest and most powerful electrical generation machinery in the world including gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators, throughout the US and Canada. The 12-month training program combines four months of comprehensive coursework and hands-on training at Siemens Energy facilities in Orlando, Charlotte, Pittsburgh, and Houston along with eight months of the job training assignments as a member of our field teams working at power plants across the US. Upon completion of the EHS Specialist training you will support field service operations at power plant project sites. This position requires traveling an average of 200 to 250 days per year. Individual assignments typically last from 1 to10 weeks. When on assignment, working schedules are typically 10 to 12 hours per day, 6 to 7 days per week and may include working the night shift. The position will be based at one of our US service centers.
