Job summary

H.B. Fuller is seeking a senior EHS professional to ensure regulatory compliance and lead EHSS programs across the facility in Blue Ash, Ohio.

This highly visible role collaborates with leadership to implement and improve safety practices and environmental controls, drive investigations, and deliver targeted training. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of manufacturing EHS experience, and strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA/PSM norms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field required.
• 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, PSM, RMP, NFPA and related regulatory requirements.
• Experience auditing, investigating incidents, hazard assessments, and employee training.

• Conduct routine inspections of manufacturing areas and identify corrective actions.
• Partner with plant leadership and employees to promote safe work practices.

Position Overview

This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and operational objectives while supporting a safe and sustainable workplace. The position is highly visible and involves regular engagement with employees and leaders throughout the facility to implement, maintain, and continuously improve EHSS&S programs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain EHSS&S programs to meet regulatory and company requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of manufacturing areas and identify corrective actions.
• Partner with plant leadership and employees to promote safe work practices.
• Lead incident, injury, and near-miss investigations and track corrective actions.
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver EHS training programs.
• Manage environmental permits, compliance reporting, and recordkeeping activities.
• Support Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives, risk assessments, and audits.
• Drive continuous improvement projects that enhance safety, compliance, and operational performance.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, chemical processing, or industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, PSM, RMP, NFPA, and related regulatory requirements.
• Experience conducting audits, investigations, hazard assessments, and employee training.
• Authorization to work in the United States and ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Requirements

• ASP, CSP, CHMM, CIH, or related professional certification.
• Experience supporting PSM-regulated operations and Process Hazard Analyses (PHA/HAZOP).
• Demonstrated project management experience leading compliance or safety initiatives.
• Experience with industrial hygiene programs, exposure assessments, and chemical management systems.
