With a vast manufacturing and distribution network, we deliver high-quality products across multiple industries while recycling over half a billion pounds of plastic annually. At ADS, we foster a culture where diverse perspectives drive better ideas, ensuring every employee feels valued, heard, and empowered to make an impact.

Responsibilities

The EHS Multisite Representative provides environmental, health, and safety leadership across assigned facilities to promote a safe, compliant, and high-performing work environment. This role partners closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees to strengthen safety culture, reduce operational risk, support environmental compliance, and drive continuous improvement. The successful candidate serves as a trusted advisor and coach, helping ensure EHS programs, critical controls, investigations, corrective actions, and risk management processes are effectively implemented and sustained across multiple locations.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Provide EHS leadership and support across multiple facilities, building strong partnerships with plant leadership to drive accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.
  • Establish and maintain a risk-based site visitation strategy that aligns support resources with operational risks, compliance needs, business priorities, and emerging trends.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of EHS programs, policies, procedures, inspections, training, documentation, and corrective action processes across assigned facilities.
  • Support the implementation of corporate EHS initiatives and organizational objectives while addressing location-specific operational needs.
  • Lead safety culture improvement efforts by coaching leaders and employees on risk awareness, safety leadership, accountability, and proactive hazard management.
  • Conduct facility inspections, audits, behavioral observations, field engagements, and verification activities to confirm the effectiveness of critical risk controls.
  • Facilitate hazard identification, near-miss reporting, task risk assessments, STOP Work observations, and safe work practices.
  • Lead or support Facility Risk Assessments (FRAs), gap assessments, and risk reviews to prioritize mitigation efforts and reduce exposure.
  • Mentor site safety committees and foster employee involvement in risk reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead or support incident investigations involving injuries, first aids, near misses, and operational events using root cause analysis and systems-based learning methodologies.
  • Identify underlying organizational, operational, environmental, and human performance factors contributing to incidents.
  • Ensure corrective and preventive actions are appropriately assigned, completed on time, and verified for effectiveness.
  • Analyze incident and safety performance trends to identify recurring issues and recommend systemic improvements.
  • Facilitate the sharing of lessons learned, best practices, and successful controls across facilities.
  • Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain or support OSHA recordkeeping, regulatory documentation, permitting requirements, inspections, and environmental compliance activities.
  • Participate in regulatory inspections, audits, agency interactions, and follow-up actions.
  • Support contractor safety programs, visitor safety processes, emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response readiness activities.
  • Evaluate EHS impacts associated with equipment installations, process changes, organizational changes, and facility expansions.
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project teams to identify hazards and implement controls before startup or project execution.
  • Participate in Management of Change (MOC) reviews and ensure risks are effectively addressed prior to implementation.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training, communications, and educational resources that support both site-specific and enterprise-wide needs.
  • Monitor training completion, effectiveness, and compliance requirements across assigned facilities.
  • Collect, analyze, and communicate leading and lagging indicators to help leadership make data-driven decisions and prioritize risk reduction efforts.
  • Develop action plans and continuous improvement initiatives based on performance trends, risk assessments, audits, and operational priorities.
Job Skills
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to influence and drive accountability without direct authority.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify systemic issues and implement practical solutions.
  • Ability to effectively balance priorities across multiple facilities while responding to changing operational risks and business needs.
  • Knowledge of occupational safety, environmental compliance, risk management, incident investigation, and corrective action programs.
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments, gap assessments, and compliance evaluations.
  • Strong understanding of root cause analysis, human performance principles, and systems-based learning methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret regulations, analyze performance data, and use metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Ability to lead candid discussions regarding risk, accountability, performance, and improvement opportunities.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with site, regional, and corporate leadership teams.
Educational Requirements

  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant EHS experience may be considered.
Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or related methodologies preferred.
Other Requirements
  • Ability to travel approximately 25-35% based on facility needs, risk profiles, audits, investigations, and business priorities.
