Job summary

Dakota Bodies Llc in Watertown, SD is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Leader to coordinate safety programs, compliance, and training across ATW operations. The role entails auditing facilities, leading incident investigations, and driving waste minimization in accordance with OSHA/EPA/DOT standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) with 3–5 years of related experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with safety data and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 3–5 years related experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret regulations and write reports.
• Familiar with OSHA, EPA and DOT Hazmat regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient PC software skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy for incident/injury reduction and regulatory compliance.
• Audit/inspect facility to ensure safety and industry best practices.
• Monitor safety metrics and report to business leaders.
• Provide safety training for managers, supervisors and staff.
• Administer SDS program and support regulatory reporting.
• Lead waste minimization and safe chemical storage.
• Interface with external agencies and inspectors.
• Maintain safety programs including PPE and hearing conservation.
• Investigate injuries and support root cause analyses.
• Present monthly safety statistics to stakeholders.
