Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Safety Specialist B to support a government client in Kekaha, Hawai'i. Under close supervision, you will assist with ESH policies, processes and training to protect personnel, equipment and property.

The role involves HazMat handling, waste management, data documentation, and audits, with responsibility to support a Spill Response Team and coordinate transport of hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Environmental, Health and Safety or related field.
• Valid state driver’s license and 40-Hour HAZWOPER Operations Level II.
• At least 1 year of EHS experience and proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Ability to operate a forklift and prepare typewritten documents.

Responsabilités

• Assist in providing OSHA, HAZMAT, HAZWASTE training and related EHS activities.
• Coordinate shipping samples and document results; upgrade to Hazmat cert if required.
• Maintain EHS data, logs and records and assist in preparing reports.
• Participate in Spill Response Team activities and support audits.
• Provide PPE and assist in procuring equipment as needed.
