Job summary

Sterling Foods is seeking a Safety Manager to lead a comprehensive safety culture across manufacturing plants in the San Antonio area. You will collaborate with supervisors to execute safety initiatives, train staff, investigate accidents, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role focuses on preventing injuries, reducing workers' compensation costs, and delivering safety performance improvements through process design, audits, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years' Safety Management experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' leadership experience.
• Experience in consumer packaged goods or related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with plant leadership to create a zero accident safety culture.
• Develop and sustain safety programs and metrics.
• Conduct OSHA training and audits.
• Coordinate workers' compensation claims and RTW programs.
• Create and maintain safety manuals and OSHA 300 logs.
• Lead safety committees and ensure compliance with OSHA/DOT/EPA.
