Legrand is seeking a Safety Manager for its Electrical Infrastructure division in West Hartford, CT. You will lead the site’s EHS programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement to foster a safe, injury‑free workplace culture.

Responsibilities include implementing policies, conducting audits and incidents investigations, delivering training, managing environmental permits, and partnering with operations to meet CSR targets across the facility.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive EHS leadership experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety practices.
• Experience with incident investigations, risk assessments, and hazard analyses.
• Experience developing and delivering employee safety training programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Aufgaben

• Lead and continuously improve the site's Environmental, Health, and Safety programs to achieve world-class safety and environmental performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations and drive regulatory efforts to meet CSR targets.
• Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific EHS policies, procedures, standards, and management systems.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, environmental audits, risk assessments, hazard evaluations, and JSAs.
• Lead investigations of injuries, environmental incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; implement corrective actions.
• Establish and monitor EHS performance metrics and communicate trends to plant leadership.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, supervisors, managers, contractors, and new hires.
• Oversee environmental compliance programs including waste management, air emissions, stormwater, permits.
• Ensure timely completion of environmental and safety reports, permits, logs, and filings.
• Serve as primary contact for regulatory agencies, inspections, and audits.
• Lead emergency preparedness planning, evacuation procedures, and drills.
