Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in North Carolina is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to lead safety programs, investigations, and training, championing a culture where safety and productivity thrive together.

You will monitor audits, perform risk assessments, and collaborate across teams, while supporting emergency response and compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910; a strong focus on associate wellbeing and confidentiality in security matters.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• 1 year in an EHS-related field OR a bachelor’s degree in EHS-related background OR 6 months in a safety role at Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personal issues in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs through data-driven strategies and conduct daily safety audits.
• Investigate incidents and perform risk assessments to prevent injuries.
• Deliver engaging safety training and drive a proactive safety culture.
• Advocate for associate wellbeing and build partnerships across the organization.
• Respond to emergencies and support site safety operations.
